Athletic Training and injury prevention services are available for all students and faculty of the Texas A&M University’s College of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts. All artists will have access to an Athletic Trainer (ATs). The purpose of providing Athletic Training services is to ensure that all artists can perform to the best of their abilities, prevent injuries, and help return them to performing as soon as possible.
A 45-Minute one-on-one consultation on anything general health assessment. Please note that some concerns/issues may require additional resources/providers. <br>Examples of general health concerns/questions your Athletic Trainer can assist you with: workout/strengthening programs, nutritional assistance/assessment, female health concerns/questions, dermatology questions/concerns, etc. Please provide a quick description of what you are wanting to discuss in your appointment in the note section.
45 minAppointment that will be done over video call or phone call.
30 minTalk or help with anything from stressors, issues, etc. These appointments will be private to allow comfort of patient. Please provide a quick description of what is going/ what you would like to discuss in the note section.
45 minAll follow-ups or re-evaluations on current injuries/issues.
15 minTreatment and care of a patient for the purpose of both preventing and alleviating pain or injury (i.e. ultrasound, electrical simulation, massage, etc.) PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN NOT DO TREATMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN EVALUATED 1ST (SELECT NEW INJURY/ISSUE OR NEW PATIENT). Please note treatments are not requests they are determined by what the Athletic Trainer believes will help you best (you and the Athletic Trainer can discuss what has helped most and decide if that's best fit for this appointment).
30 minFor all services regarding concussion after first initial evaluation. This includes follow-up assessments, treatment, and cognitive therapy.
30 minExercises/activities to strengthen, prevent, or heal injuries. PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN NOT DO REHABILITATION UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN EVALUATED FIRST.
30 minNew patients to be seen. Please limit it to 1 injury/issue. If you have more injuries or concerns please schedule a new injury/issue after being seen initially. Please provide a brief description of what is going on in the notes.
30 minBandage, wound care, eye care, etc.
